The Entrepreneur's Holiday Gift Guide
The holiday season is upon us, and we thought a gift guide might be helpful if you or someone in your life is an entrepreneur. Our brains feel particularly overwhelmed this year, and we always love to review gift guides as inspiration. Our roundup includes some fun tech gifts, drinkware, personalized gifts, as well as a few fantastic books and education options, and more (you can see more over on our Favorites page). Please note, some links are affiliate links.
Happy Holidays!
Drinkware
The Ember Mug
We are very charmed by cool drinking mugs and containers, so we did our best not to make an entire post about things to drink out of, but we do have two recommendations. The first is something we’ve resisted buying for almost a year now. Have you heard of the Ember mug?
This is not an inexpensive coffee or tea container, but for any busy professional or parent who gets distracted before they can finish that warm beverage, this is for you.
They come in 14oz or 10oz mugs, as well as travel mugs.
Lauren says: “When I was drinking coffee, this was really appealing to me because I would spend so much time crafting that first morning cup with my collagen, creamer, etc. Now, if I had one, I would use it for my evening tea, because I usually make a cup, but it’s too hot to drink so I set it aside, and by the time I remember it, it’s ice cold. Definitely first-world problems, but it’s a nifty gift, and something someone in your life will love, but probably won’t buy for themselves.”
Miir
Our next - and last - drinking receptacle recommendation are the bottles and mugs from Miir. When you buy from them, you can literally track your impact on their website and see where they’ve donated money from your purchase. It’s a great concept, and their designs are really stylish and modern. We’ve been gifted 2 from StoryBrand, and we love to use them. Miir has TONS of options on Amazon, as well as on their site. If you head over to miir.com, you can see your impact, as well as look into their corporate gifts for adding logos to their merchandise.
Personalized Gifts
And speaking of adding logos to things, it’s all good to add your logo to swag and give it away, but for it to be an actual gift, you’ll want to add your friend or client’s logo to whatever you’re gifting them.
Saddleback Leather
There’s an incredible local Fort Worth company called Saddleback Leather, and they have a pretty intense cultish following all over. Their tagline is “They’ll fight about it when you’re dead” which we think is hilarious and amazing. We met their new COO the other day when he moderated a panel Lauren participated in, and, as a gift, he gave her a leather coaster and key chain that had the Kwedar PR logo on it. And, guess what? Now we’re a fan. Brilliant! They have SO much to choose from, and their product descriptions alone are worth a website visit. We know we’re going to do a little Christmas shopping with them this year. They have something for everyone, outdoors people, professionals, and more.
Notebooks
The reMarkable 2
Our next gift recommendation is for someone you know well and/or really want to impress. It’s not cheap, but it’s definitely a wow gift, and that is the reMarkable2. Every time Lauren takes hers out in a meeting, at least 1-2 people are intrigued and want to know more about it. It’s a tablet that feels like writing on paper. There are no apps to distract you. Just your notes. You can upload books or PDFs for reference or note-taking. Send your notes as PDFs/add them to your server, etc., and it will sync with Google Drive and Dropbox It’s a game changer.
Monogrammed Moleskine
For your pals who still love a great notebook, or for whom you’re not quite ready to spring for a reMarkable, a Monogrammed Moleskine is always a classic choice. Pair it with a fabulous pen, and you have a gorgeous, thoughtful gift.
Education & Books
If your entrepreneur loves to learn, we have a few options for you!
Business Made Simple University
BMSU is full of great courses about topics like brand message, marketing, mission statements, negotiation, proposals, and more. They are adding new courses each year, and the annual fee is a fantastic value.
StoryBrand Livestream
Want something a little more hands-on and intensive? Check out the StoryBrand Livestream! And, if you’d like Lauren to be your personal coach, just send us a note at hello@kwedarpr.com.
Books
Is there anything better than a transformative book? We didn’t think so, either. Here are some fantastic reads to support and inspire your entrepreneur. (For more books, visit our Favorites page.)
Soundtracks, by Jon Acuff
Hero on a Mission (pre-order), by Donald Miller
Think Again, by Adam Grant
Untamed, by Glennon Doyle
Bird By Bird, by Anne Lamott
Gift From The Sea, by Anne Morrow Lindgbergh
Man’s Search for Meaning, by Viktor Frankl
Donations
Finally, our favorite category: donations in honor (or memory) of someone. Here are two great Fort Worth non-profits that are making the difference in the lives of aspiring young men and women as they pursue their education and career dreams, and change the trajectory of our community.
We hope this gift guide got your creative juices flowing! Here’s to a merry and bright holiday season,
Your Kwedar PR elves
